Schedule 6.BCAA Super league
6. BCAA SUPER LEAGUE
SEASON 2011-12
Respected,
Together we
have reached 6th Basketball Championship Alpe Adria (BCAA). I
sincerely hope that this season will be as successful as previous ones and that
this competition will show up for its existence.
This year
the BCAA Super League will have 16 teams. Those teams have been divided into
two conferences (East and West) with eight teams respectively.
The
competition has been organized so that in the first part of the season during
the period of 4 months there are 4 tournaments (this will give each team the
total of 8 games). Games would be played on Sundays (normally last Sunday of
each month) with one host team and three visiting teams. After the conclusion
of first part of the season in 5th month teams will be divided into
new groups according to their standings (1st-8th place
and 9th-16th place). After this the FINAL FOUR tournament
will be organized in 6th month. The FINAL FOUR tournament will be
organized in the city of one of the participants with all teams being a part of
it. The suggestion is that the FINAL FOUR tournament is being played in two
days (Saturday-Sunday). However, this is still to be discussed due to financial
opportunities of the teams.
This way
each team should have a minimum of 12 games during a period of 6 months.
In the
attachment I am sending you the schedule of games with suggestions of host
teams for the tournament. Please read it carefully and if you have some remarks
or suggestions please let me know no latter than 05.10.2011.godine. After this
date I will assume that you agree with proposed schedule and full
responsibility is taken for delegation.
As you may
see in first three rounds, paired teams play with teams of other three pairs,
and in 4th round teams play within the pairs. This competition is
being played based on FIBA rules and with no restrictions on zone defense or
number of players. Further, games will be played with RB 6 balls that are
assigned by the host federation. Each player must have some kind of
identification (Identity card or passport) in case one of the competing team
asks for it during the tournament.
Team ATUS GRATKORN
(Austrija) is competing out of the system, due to having older players on the
team (born 94,95,96) so that they could start a developing process of their
youth basketball. My suggestion is that before playing games with ATUS
GRATKORN, other teams talk to ATUS GRATKORN and make an arrangement, if
necessary, for older girls to play as well.
